Arsenal midfielder has backed winger Nicholas Pepe following his apology to the team.
Pepe was shown a straight red card for headbutting Ezgjan Alioski in their weekend scoreless draw against Leeds with the Ivory Coast player taking to Instagram to apologize for letting his team down.
"I have let my team down at a crucial time of the game and there are no excuses for my behaviour. I am deeply sorry and would like to apologise to the fans, my team-mates, my coach and everyone at the club,” Pepe wrote.
Xhaka has now come to back the player urging him to "come back stronger" after the incident.
"Keep going, brother. You come back stronger. WE ARE WITH YOU," Xhaka wrote.
The £72million has constantly been ridiculed by the club fans following his recent performances with the club forced to back the payer following some uncalled for abuse from their fan base.
