Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane admitted he was baffled at the 2-1 loss to Deportivo Alaves on Saturday evening.
In his post match conference, Zidane said he had no proper explanation to give as he felt like the team had some great and bad moments and believes they lacked consistency for the most part of it.
“I have no explanation. We had good and bad moments. It does make it a lot more difficult when you concede after three minutes.
"This was our worst start to a match this season. Then, we couldn’t change the dynamic of the game and that annoys me.
"We didn’t do enough in the second half to change the dynamic of the game. But, we need to keep working and we need to get some of our players back.
"I have to work out a solution with the players, but I won’t say here what that is.”
Zidane also touched on the possibility of retaining the La Liga title while adding that anything is possible in football but right now, the team is dealing with plentiful injuries.
“The problem we have is the inconsistency. We also have a lot of problems right now with injuries. It’s not an excuse, but it’s reality.”
