Leicester City midfielder Harvey Barnes talks form under Brendan Rodgers

Leicester City midfielder Harvey Barnes has seen his star rise in his career having already earned his first senior appearance for England while scoring goals on the European stage.

Barnes who came through the academy ranks has been praised for his versatility by manager Brendan Rodgers and the belief of his boss has certainly motivated his form.

“As a whole, we’ve had a really good start to the season,” Barnes told the club's official website.

“For me, I’ve really enjoyed playing, we’ve played some great football and some really good attacking bits.

“Of course, I’ve been happy, but I want to keep adding to that and keep adding more goals and assists to my game. I’ve definitely been happy, but I’m still looking to improve on that.

“It’s fun to go out and play. You know, going out onto the pitch, that there’s going to be opportunities – we’re going to play good football.”

Barnes also believes that the Foxes have also improved in their style of play, precisely the way they have adapted to Rodgers' philosophy which has become a threat to the opposition.

“This season, we’ve already played a few different formations, so it’s good to have been involved in a few different systems,” Barnes said.

“Whatever system we play, or however we approach the game, we want to score goals, we want to attack, and we want to create as many chances as we can. It’s always great going into a game knowing that.”
