Laliga giants Atletico Madrid are planning to raid Arsenal for the services of Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Sky Sports reports that Atleti is looking for a temporary replacement for defender Kieran Trippier who was banned for ten weeks for breaching betting rules by the English FA; a move that will see him miss 13 games for Atleti.
Atleti has been keeping tabs on the player for the last twelve months and rates him highly according to the reports with Diego Simeone keen to maintain their momentum in Laliga where they currently sit at the top of the log.
Simeone feels they have a chance of winning their second title in 25 years and want a quick replacement for Trippier and Nile attributes impresses the Argentine as the Englishman is able to play different roles in a team.
Niles wants to be part of the England squad for the Euro tournament next summer but with the lack of playing time at Arsenal, he is open to a move; the player having been linked with a move to Wolves last summer.
With Hector Bellerin the first choice right back at Arsenal, Niles wants to make a move to a team where he can be guaranteed regular playing time with the player valued for a fee of around £20 million.
