English Premier League side Arsenal is in talks with Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen as they seek to bring him to the Emirates.
Eriksen is considered a surplus to requirements at Inter with the club through CEO Giuseppe Marotta admitting that the player was not in their plans and could leave in January.
Arsenal is looking for a creative force in their midfielder with Mesut Ozil being frozen out of the first-team picture and while the Danish international is keen to return to the Premier League, working with Mauricio Pochettino again would be welcome.
Italian publication Calciomercato now claims that PSG would hijack the deal if they appoint Pochettino as their head coach; the Argentine being the favorite to replace Thomas Tuchel who was sacked this week.
The 28-year-old has started just four games in Serie A this season and has only made 12 appearances for the Italian side in all competitions where he is yet to score a goal or provide an assist.
Pochettino managed Eriksen for a number of years and reached a Champions League final with him and the reports indicate that Pochettino could request PSG to secure the transfer of the player next month.
