Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday following a 0-0 scoreline.
Crystal Palace were the better in the first half, with James Tomkins hitting the crossbar. Arsenal were improved after the break, but couldn't muster a goal as each side registers a clean sheet.
It was a good start for the Gunners but Palace defended well to deny Mikel Arteta's men from taking an early lead.
Just before halftime, Palace had a freekick on the left edge and Eze stepped up to take it. Eze floated it in, but Tomkins could not get his effort a few inches lower as it crashed off the crossbar. Crystal Palace kept the ball alive, but it came to an end when Benteke - again - fired high into the stands.
In the stoppage time, Palace almost scored the winning goal as Xhaka slipped in the midfielder to allow the visitors to break forward with all speed. However, Ayew's eventual effort was seen behind by Bellerin for a corner.
The result means Arsenal have failed to score in seven Premier League matches this season, as many as in the entirety of last season, last failing to score in more games in a season in 2015/16 (8).
