Spanish and global superclub Real Madrid have edged closer to signing David Alaba from Bayern Munich.
According to SkySports, Zinedine Zidane’s club has tabled a lucrative deal for the 28-year-old Austrian central defender, who rejected Bayern’s new deal late in 2020.
"Real Madrid have offered David Alaba a lucrative contract to join the club – but the Bayern Munich defender is yet to make a decision on his future," Sky reported.
"The Austria international is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of Germany."
The reports now say Alaba is left to make a decision to sign for Los Blancos or wait for other offers around the continent.
