Leicester City 2-0 Chelsea: Ndindi and Madisson goals send Leicester top

Alfred Ndindi and Jame Madison scored a goal apiece as Leicester City went on top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Chelsea on Tuesday night.

A dominant start by Leicester saw them rewarded by a sixth-minute goal from Wilfried Ndindi. The home side had won a free-kick just outside the Chelsea box. The free kick’s sent down the left to Barnes, whose deep cross was chested out for a corner on the right by Abraham. Leicester played it short between Maddison and Albrighton, the latter cutting back for Ndidi, who from the edge of the box creamed a sensational first-time shot off the left-hand post and into the net.

Leicester went on to dominate with Maddison seeing his shot clip the bar on its way out before Chelsea could gain momentum. Their crisp pass was awarded a free-kick just at the edge of the box after Johny Evans had tripped Pulisic with the referee pointing to the spot. The decision was however reversed after a VAR check.

Mount had wasted the resultant free-kick but even before they could settle, the home side doubled their lead. Barnes looped a pass down the middle in the direction of Vardy but the England striker played a dummy for Rudiger with the ball bouncing to Maddison who opened his body to sidefoot confidently past Mendy; a goal they were to preserve until the break.

The second had the same story with Chelsea doing all they can to ensure the game but couldn't find a way past the Leicester side who have now o win all the ten games in which they have scored first.
