Real Madrid’s want away attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard is reportedly edging closer to signing for Arsenal.
As reported here on Futaa this week, the 22-year-old Norwegian was set to conclude a loan move to Real Sociedad in La Liga, before Arsenal, who are set to release Mesut Ozil, emerged with the attempt to turn his head.
According to a Spanish outlet, Sport, as reported by BBC Sport, Odegaard is believed to have opted to move to north London.
“Despite interest from elsewhere, Real Madrid's 22-year-old Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard is very close to completing a loan move to Arsenal. (Sport - in Spanish),” said the BBC.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have FA Cup fourth round action away at Southampton this weekend.
