Real Madrid have confirmed Eden Hazard has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his left leg.
The Belgian's time at the Spanish giants has been dogged with recurrent injuries, with the latest set to rule him out for at least four weeks.
"Following tests carried out today on our player, Eden Hazard, by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his left leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed," read a medical report from the club on Wednesday.
The latest injury is a major setback for the former Chelsea star, who has started in four of Madrid’s last six games.
He has improved from his first season at the capital-based club, and has three goals this season.
