Everton ready to extend Josh King stay at the club

Carlo Ancelotti wants to extend the stay of striker Joshua King at the club.

The Norwegian is on a six month loan deal at Goodison Park but according to Football Insider, the Italian sees King as an ideal understudy to Dominic Calvert-Lewin as they try not to overburden the Englishman with the goal-scoring duties.

Though yet to start a league game for Everton since joining from AFC Bournemouth, King has had some good cameo appearances with Everton happy to keep him past his current deal.

According to the reports, Everton paid Bournemouth what they claimed was a “nominal” fee for King in January to beat Fulham to his signature.

There have been reports that the Toffees might be interested in signing the player on a permanent deal but it is expected that his parent club might ask for a higher fee something that Everton are not willing to listen to. The player is said not to be interested in the Championship and will likely leave for another club in the coming season if he cant secure the move to Everton.
