Thomas Tuchel has revealed midfielder N'Golo Kante is likely to miss Chelsea's first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie against FC Porto next week.
Kante picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with France and he will miss Saturday's Premier League clash with West Brom.
In his press conference ahead of the early kick-off, Tuchel revealed the Frenchman could also sit out Chelsea's trip to Crystal Palace the following weekend but is likely to return for the Champions League return leg against Porto.
"Everybody was in training today, except N’Golo Kante who was doing individual work," he told the press.
"Yes, probably [Kante will miss Porto]. He is doing individual training and tomorrow the game and he can’t be with the squad. Then we have just three days to prepare. We have a muscle injury, as we communicated with the national team [France]. So my realistic approach is to think about Porto, maybe the second game against Porto."
The Blues will however welcome back Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham who have been on the sidelines with hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.
