Laliga giants FC Barcelona are nervy about winger Ousmane Dembele’s situation at the club.
The French winger is yet to agree on a new deal despite his current contract ending in the next 18 months with the player having rediscovered his form in recent games.
Sports reports that Barca management are nervous, knowing there's major interest arriving for the attacker ahead of the summer market with the club keen to offload him this summer instead of losing him for free if they can’t agree on a new deal.
New president Joan Laporta is said to have met the player and his presentative in a bid to convince him to stay but their demands are yet to be met; the French international said to be leaving his options open after he was strongly linked with a move to Man United.
There are reports that United has been in touch with Dembele’s representatives with the English club ready to pounce on the opportunity should Barca and Dembele fail to agree on a deal.
Manchester United and Juventus have contacted Ousmane Dembélé’s agent, despite Barcelona wanting the Frenchman to renew. PSG and Liverpool are also considering a move. #MUFC [MD]— mufcmpb (@mufcMPB) April 3, 2021
