Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he doesn’t know the return date of captain Jordan Henderson.
Henderson has missed the club’s last nine matches after undergoing surgery in February and according to his manager, the player has not returned to training yet.
"I don't know. He's not in training yet – I think we can say that and all the rest we will see. It makes just not too much sense, and I don't know it really, to make this kind of – in German we say 'water-level announcements' – running commentaries.
"I don't know. He looks good, that's the good news, but not in training yet," Klopp said when asked about his captain.
Liverpool has struggled in their title defense this season due to many injuries that have befallen them with the team, who were eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid currently placed sixth in the league standings.
With 52 points, they are currently three points behind fourth-placed West Ham United and have a game against newbies Leeds United on Monday.
Jordan Henderson was continuing with his rehab this week following groin surgery. But a return to action remains some way off and it’s unclear whether he will feature before the end of the season.
