La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have left Real Madrid and FC Barcelona as the only clubs going ahead with the doomed UEFA Super League.
As reported here on Futaa this week, Real and Barcelona led Europe’s superclubs in launching a breakaway Super League, that includes England’s top six. But English fans and stakeholders had other ideas.
Wide fury led to all English six clubs quickly pulling out of the Super League, soon after the likes of FC Porto and Borussia Dortmund had rejected the invitations to become part of the new event.
While Real and Barca remained silent after announcing the move on Sunday night, Atletico Madrid have since confirmed pulling out of the entire concept.
