Juventus chairman reflects on buying Cristiano Ronaldo

Chairman of Juventus, Andrea Agnelli, has had to say he does not regret buying the Portguese superstar.

Agnelli took the decision to make a shock transfer of £105 million to see Ronaldo leave Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018.

But unfortunately, the investment has not brought about the desired glory to lift the UEFA Champions League, worse, Juve got eliminated in the last 16 at the hands of FC Porto this season.

"I've never regretted signing Cristiano Ronaldo," Agnelli told La Repubblica, as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

"If I could go back in time, I will do it again, and I have no regrets about Andrea Pirlo either,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Pirlo's side are 11 points behind leaders Inter, with six more games to the end of the ternm. Up next for the Serie A giants is a trip to Florence for a league game against Fiorentina.
