After a goal-scoring spree in April, Edinson Cavani has claimed his first Manchester United Player of the Month award.
In a vote on the club's Official App, the striker, who joined the club during the summer transfer window last year, came out on top, ahead of teammates Mason Greenwood and Victor Lindelof.
Cavani had seven goals for United going into the month, but he really got going in our 3-1 away win at Tottenham, where he scored the game's second goal.
After that win, he was called Man of the Match, and he went on to win it twice more (Granada, Roma) before the end of the month, finishing April with a total of five goals while only making four starts.
Cavani has sniffed out close-range opportunities (Burnley, Roma), scored diving headers (Tottenham), set up goals for others (Tottenham, Roma), and led the forward line with experience and wisdom during April.
How did the voting finish?
- Edinson Cavani - 70%
- Mason Greenwood - 25%
- Victor Lindelof - 5%
