Chelsea will hold talks with Antonio Rudiger about the defender's future at the end of the season.
Rudiger's contract with Chelsea is set to expire at the end of next season and the German wants to wait until Thomas Tuchel’s long-term future is sorted before deciding on his own future.
Tuchel’s contract – like Rudiger’s – runs until next summer. Rudiger started seven of Frank Lampard’s 29 games in charge this season. He has started 18 of Tuchel’s 24 games in charge.
As reported by Sky Sports, Rudiger would have been allowed to leave in January if he had signed a one-year extension to his contract.
The 28-year-old decided to stay amid interest from PSG, Tottenham, and AC Milan as he believed he would get playing time – even under Lampard.
