🍿 Five massive matches to watch this weekend

There aren't an awful lot of top-tier matches left to savour in 2020-21 and a lot of them are going down this weekend.

Here are five unmissable highlights.

📺 Saturday

🏆 FA Cup Final

Thomas Tuchel has transformed Chelsea into a defensive powerhouse, but now the real test comes with three season-defining clashes on the bounce. They'll face Man City in the Champions League final later this month and Leicester in a pivotal Premier League clash with top-four ramifications next week.

But, first things first, they face the Foxes in the 140th edition of the FA Cup final. The Blues will be desperate to avoid becoming the first side since Newcastle in 1999 to lose consecutive showpieces in this age-old traditional competition.

🍕 Juventus vs Inter

Inter are already champions and have nothing riding on this fixture, but it's serious business for Juve, the team that Inter knocked off their perch after a dominant string of nine consecutive Scudetto crowns.

Not only has Juve been dethroned, but the Old Lady is now sweating to even make the top four and are obliged to beat the Nerazzurri here; that's easier said than done though - Antonio Conte's men are on a stunning 20-match unbeaten run and it's unlikely that they'll be in a charitable mood.

Juve is unbeaten in their last seven meetings with the Nerazzurri but a draw isn't good enough this weekend, we have entered win or bust territory for Cristiano & co. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

🏰 Rome Derby

The Eternal City is set for the 156th Derby della Capitale in Serie A. Roma has lost three of their last four Serie A matches, putting their participation in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers in jeopardy. For their part, Lazio is still fighting for a top-four finish and have won eight of their last ten Serie A matches.

I Biancocelesti star striker Ciro Immobile recently became the first player to score 20+ goals for Lazio in four different Serie A seasons. The prolific Italian's goals are quite literally keeping Lazio relevant in the Champions League qualification conversation.

Lazio is unbeaten in the last four capital derbies in Serie A and nothing but a win will do here to keep their flickering top-four hopes alive. They can finish the season with a maximum of 76 points which might just see them qualify for Europe. Stranger things have certainly happened in football.

🌞 Sunday

🥘 Athletic Bilbao vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid's Basque hosts have won just two of their last 13 Laliga matches as a top-half finish now looks to be slipping away from them. Zinedine Zidane's Los Blancos charges haven't lost to Bilbao in the Spanish top-flight since March 2015, and they're desperate to claim three points here and cling on to any lingering hopes they have of defending their Spanish crown.

There’s been a goal in or after the 85th minute in four of Athletic’s last five league matches and if that trend repeats itself, Real Madrid will hope to be the ones scoring it as they aim to take this season's thrilling title race to the final day.

🇫🇷 Lille vs Saint-Étienne

Lille knows that four points from their last two matches will secure a first Ligue 1 crown since 2011, and three points on Sunday would be a superb place to start. Les Dogues (The Dogs) will need to summon all of their fighting spirit against a Saint-Étienne outfit that has won five of their last seven on the road under Claude Puel.

If Christophe Galtier's team picks up the points it might not be pretty, but those points could be so precious when all is said and done.
