Former Manchester United and France fullback Patrice Evra believes Henry is the second greatest ever France footballer.
Evra spoke to the media about his list of greatest ever Les Bleus players, which includes Zidane in first place, as well as the likes of Eric Cantona and Didier Deschamps in the list.
Explaining why Henry is second, Evra said:
”Not only because he is a friend, but also for all he has brought to French football. He is the top scorer in French football history.
“All his stats, everything he did when he was an Arsenal player, all his trophies – he's won trophies that don't exist! What a player, what a player.
“His side-foot shot, every time I think: 'Goalkeepers - are they stupid or what? [Laughs] Do they not know that every time he is going to do the same shot, the same side-foot?' But he always scores in the end. For his whole career, I put Henry second,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the two legends will be watching Les Bleus compete in the 2020 Euro last 16 battle against Switzerland next Monday.
