Erik ten Hag has ruled out a move from Ajax to the Netherlands after the country's early elimination from Euro 2020.
Following their 2-0 round-of-16 loss to the Czech Republic, the KNVB confirmed on June 29 that they had parted ways with De Boer.
Despite his commitment to Ajax, ten Hag would not rule out a future move.
“That is not possible, because I signed with Ajax,” when asked if he would be open to taking the vacant position.
“The Dutch national team is very attractive, especially because I have a history with 75% of the selection. They are good players and if they form a good team, you can achieve a lot with them.
“That would be very attractive, but that is not possible, because I work at Ajax.
“When those guys team up, they can perform incredibly well. Then they can compete with the best in the world. Who wouldn’t want to be a national coach one day? It’s an honourable job.”
