Wolverhampton keeper Rui Patricio is set to join Serie A giants AS Roma in the coming days.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims, Roma has made an official bid of €10 million with a further €3m in add-ons with Wolves already looking on Olympiacos’ Jose Sa as his replacement.
The Portugal international has been with Wolves for the past three seasons, appearing in 112 of the 114 Premier League matches, and recently entered the final year of his contract.
While there is no reason why the player wants to change clubs, it is believed that the departure of coach Nuno Espirito Santo convinced him to leave with Rui having been the club's first-choice keeper for the past three seasons.
Sa has been lined up as Patricio’s successor, and it does not come as a surprise, given he is represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes; Rui said to be interested in working with Jose Mourinho.
Wolves have been getting players managed by super-agent Jorge Mended with Wolves' new boss Bruno Lage being his client too. Wolves recent signing Francisco Trincao is a client of Mendes’ Gestifute agency too.
