Newcastle United have enquired about the availability of Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The Welsh midfielder is surplus to requirements at the Italian giants this summer and wants o return to the Premier League where he previously featured for Arsenal.
According to Goal.com, the Magpies are keen to secure the former Arsenal star among other midfield options but there are no suggestions whether the move would be a loan deal or a permanent transfer.
Talks between Newcastle and Juventus are said to be at an early stage with the Welshman still having a contract with the Serie A giants until 2023. His injury issues however mean that Juve wants to do away with him as they feel he can't be depended upon much.
Returning manager Massimiliano Allegri is said to be an admirer of the Welshman but the club has informed him that the player would be up for sale if they can find a proper offer.
Apart from Newcastle, Ramsey has been linked with a move to Wolves too this summer.
