Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is personally rejecting interests from rival clubs for Kostas Tsimikas.
While Andy Robertson is the prefered left-back at the club, Klopp believes that Tsimikas will have his chances this season and would be a good understudy should the Scotland international get injured in between the season.
According to Il Mattino via the Mirror, Klopp is personally informing any interested parties that Tsimikas is not for sale as he is in his plans in the coming season.
It is said that Klopp plans to give Robertson some breathing space owing to the number of games he has played in the last two seasons with Klopp keen to juggle the Premier League, Champions League and domestic cup commitments.
Tsimikas has previously been linked with a move to Napoli this summer, either on loan or permanently, but Klopp appears to have shut down any chances of that happening with the Greek set to stay at Anfield this summer despite his aim of having more game time.
