While the world was glued in Manchester for the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, the top five leagues in Europe continued with some mouthwatering clashes on show.
With Ronaldo grabbing a brace in Man United's 4-1 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford, his former employers Juventus continued with their winless start to the Serie A after going 2-1 down to Napoli.
It is only the second time in their last 52 Serie A campaigns that Juve have failed to win any of their opening three league games. However, the other occasion also came under their current coach,
Massimiliano Allegri, in 2015-16, when they went on to win the title by nine points.
Juve started the game brightly and took an early lead through Alvaro Morata but Wojciech Szczesny weakly palmed a Lorenzo Insigne effort into the path of Matteo Politano for an easy Napoli equalizer on the 57th minute; defender Kalidou Koulibaly coming on with a late winner.
