Paris Saint-Germain’s manager Mauricio Pochettino has suggested Chelsea are the favourites to win the UEFA Champions League.
The Argentinian boss was speaking ahead of his team’s first Champions League game away to Belgian giants Club Brugge on Wednesday.
With the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in his Arsenal, Pochettino still believes the reigning European champions are the team to beat.
“‘It’s possible that Chelsea and ourselves are the two teams to beat on paper, looking at our squads, but Chelsea are the holders so they’re the team to beat especially after strengthening their squad,” Pochettino said as quoted by the Mirror.
The former Spurs tactician concluded to say that he may have all the world class quality in his dressing room but is yet to create a team.
‘We’re not a team yet. We are a club that has recruited many players this summer. There are some big names but we have to turn into a team,” he said.
