Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Dovick Origi after the club's 3-2 win over AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Reds' 1-0 lead was canceled by two surprise goals from the Italians before halftime, but Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson stepped up to slam home a sensational winner midway through the second half.
While Origi surprised many Liverpool fans by starting upfront alongside Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota, the Belgian went on to greatly delight his manager with his performance.
"He played a super game," Klopp said of Origi as quoted by the Metro. "People forget how good he is. It is just difficult to get him in this team."
"He’s a sensational striker who did really well. In the summer transfer window we all thought there would be a proper offer [for him], but obviously people don’t watch football enough," the German concluded.
Coming up next is Premier League action against Crystal Palace at Anfield this weekend.
