Arsenal’s iconic former manager Arsene Wenger has said Patrick Vieira was probably his best ever signing at the club.
Wenger revealed the answer during a quick Q&A with SportBible on YoutTube. The questions touched on his coaching career and major accolades, and of course the much-interesting one about who he believes was the best signing he made in North London.
“I made a few good signings, but maybe the best, well not the best, but the one people give me credit because I arrived with him was Patrick Vieira,” the Frenchman said.
“After people would say Thierry Henry, but of course Henry was an unbelievable signing, I came here unknown, but after Patrick, people said ‘I don’t know this guy, but at least he brings good players,'” Wenger added.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are preparing for the visit of Newcastle United to the Emirates this weekend.
