Premier League newbies Norwich City unveiled a new club crest on Tuesday as they seek to bring their logo into the modern world.
It is the first time the Canaries have made such a change for 50 years and in a statement, the club said that their club was a symbol of progression, ambition, and aspirations.
“We’re proud of our history and heritage but Norwich City is also a symbol of progression, ambition, and aspiration,” the club announced.
“When reviewing our brand property, it became apparent that there are issues with consistency, as well as technical and accessibility challenges we must correct. Everywhere you look, there are multiple variations and interpretations of the old design,” they noted.
With the move, Norwich become the 12th Premier League side to alter their crest within the last 11 years; the new crest is set to be in use from June 12 next year.
