Will he leave the club? Michael Carrick addresses Rangnick rumours

Michael Carrick has emphasized that his whole concentration is on helping Manchester United to victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The interim manager led the Red Devils to a 2-0 Champions League victory against Villarreal on Tuesday and will return to the bench for the match against the Blues in London.

Man United are rumored to be on the verge of appointing Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager, but Carrick has declined to say whether the German will be arriving anytime soon.

"From my point of view, not a lot, speculation and reports are just that. My head is just on the game," Carrick told reporters during Friday's press conference.

"There's a lot of different styles and there's a good group of players here. Whoever comes in and whatever is implemented I'm sure they can adapt, there's some real good talent within the squad, sure they'll look forward to what's ahead.

"My pure focus is on preparing the team as best as I can. It's a huge responsibility that I have at the moment and I've given it everything. Anything after Sunday is not in my thoughts at the moment."

Rangnick, who is presently the head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow, is expected to join Man United as a consultant after his interim management term expires in May.
