Kylian Mbappe has hinted on staying at Paris Saint Germain despite interest from Real Madrid.
The French starlet is yet to sign a new deal with the Parisians despite his contract ending in the summer but in an interview with Amazon Prime, Mbappe admitted that he still does not know what he plans to do next.
“It is not easy. Either way, I'll be playing for a big club. At first, I was disappointed (not to leave). But well, I am not in the third division, I am in a club that wants to win the Champions League. I am Parisian, I have my family, I feel good, I have always said it. I just wanted to discover something else,” Mbappe said as quoted by Goal.
Kylian Mbappé on his future to @PVSportFR: “It's not easy. Whatever happens, I'm going to play for a big club. People were asking me if I wasn't too disappointed... yes a bit at the beginning, when you wanted to leave, but I wasn't in the 3rd division”. 🔴🇫🇷 #PSG @psghub— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) December 5, 2021
In October, Mbappe admitted that he asked for a transfer in the summer because he did not want to leave the French side high and dry on a free transfer.
Madrid needs Mbappe since Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard are entering the tail-end of their primes, and 19-year-old Vinicius Junior needs to have his running mate.
