Chelsea handed triple injury boost

Trevoh Chalobah and N'Golo Kante have resumed training while left-back Ben Chilwell has stepped up recovery from a serious knee injury.

Chilwell suffered an anterior cruciate ligament in November and is expected to be on the sidelines until next year. The England international now targets return to action in January after starting light running. Earlier reports had indicated that Chilwell could miss the remainder of the season but now seems ahead of the recovery timeline but the club is still assessing whether he will need to undergo surgery.

Chalobah, Kante updates

Kante and Chalobah resumed training at the club's training ground in Cobham on Tuesday. The duo is expected to be available for selection on Thursday when the Blues take on Everton in a Premier League encounter.
