These are the scenes we love to see. The Senegal team has been captured celebrating Edouard Mendy’s latest accolade as FIFA’s best goalkeeper in 2021.
As per FIFA, the award is given to the most outstanding goalkeeper in men's football. This year's award recognised players for their performances from October 2020 to August 2021
The 29-year-old was handed the gong after guiding Chelsea to the UEFA Champions League title and a top-four finish in the English Premier League.
Mendy also ensured Senegal qualified for AFCON 2021 as well the final round of play-offs for the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the Teranga Lions heard the news while the team was in Cameroon for AFCON 2021.
