Laliga duo of Real Sociedad and Real Betis are interested in signing midfielder Juan Mata from Manchester United.
Mata has been reduced to a squad player at Old Trafford and there is a belief he feels he can still help the team in their misfortunes and is growing frustrated over lack of playing time.
Reports from Fichajes now claim that the player is open to returning to Spain with Real Sociedad and Real Betis already sounding out their interest in the player. Both teams are expected to officially hold talks with the player's representative in the coming weeks as they look to get him on free in the summer.
Mata who arrived at United in 2014 from Chelsea has already racked up 277 competitive appearances for the club and his experience with both clubs has seen him bag several accolades, including two FA Cups, two Europa League titles, and one Champions League title.
The 33-year old however is yet to muster over 1,000 minutes of league football in any of his last two completed seasons with United and hasn't appeared in any league game this season.
There are reports that the player is keen on partnering David Silva in the Sociedad midfield with the two having been teammates during their time at Valencia and in the Spanish national team.
Betis on the other had is looking for a creative midfielder for their side with rumors rife that Nabil Fekir might leave for the Premier League in the summer.
