According to reports, Chelsea still owe Inter Milan £71 million for the Romelu Lukaku transfer.
The Blues signed the Belgian international during the last summer transfer window for a club-record cost of £97.5 million.
Initially, the defending European Champions paid £19 million to the Italian team, with the commitment to pay the remaining £19 million in five separate payments of almost the same lump sum each time.
According to The Sun, Chelsea still owe £71 million, and the club reportedly needs to spend another £100 million on uncompleted deals.
However, the Blues are set to receive £167 million in compensation from other teams as a result of player transfer agreements in which they have been engaged.
Lukaku has made 19 Premier League appearances this season, including against Newcastle United last weekend, scoring five times.
