Premier League newbies Brentford are struggling to keep midfielder Christian Eriksen at the club.
The midfielder joined the Bees on a six-month deal in January after his contract with Inter was mutually terminated towards the end of 2021 due to rules around Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators.
Brentford was to take him in January on a six months deal but following his outing at the club where he has been a key figure, there have been reports that teams in England are expressing interest in having them for their sides.
90min reports that while internally Brentford are hopeful that he will extend his stay in west London, they face fierce competition from Tottenham and West Ham. Eriksen played for Spurs between 2013 and 2020 though it is currently unclear whether the Dane is open to a reunion given the manner of his departure.
Eriksen is not thought to be seeking the six-figure wages he was on at Spurs and Inter but he does want his stature to be recognized in the next contract he signs.
Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Newcastle are all looking into offering Eriksen a contract this summer along with Brentford's local rivals Fulham, who have all but sealed promotion back to the Premier League.
