Jan Oblak impressed and helped his Atletico Madrid side reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League, after a straightforward goalless draw against Bayer Leverkusen at the Estadio Vicente Calderon on Wednesday evening.

After a 4-2 win in Germany in the first leg, Diego Simeone’s men make it to the last 8 for the 4th consecutive time ,after the 0-0 scoreline.

Oblak made a special triple save from Julian Brandt and Volland (twice), after a mistake from Atletico centre-back Jose Maria Gimenez. This came 21 minutes from time, ending Leverkusen's hopes of a comeback.

But there was a feeling that both teams were quite happy with the 0-0 and that is the way it ended up.
