Okanga: Our strategy paid off against Olympic

Makolanders Head Coach Mike Okanga has revealed that his team is on the right path after thrashing Mombasa Olympic 3-1 in a captivating match played on June 10 at Mombasa Sports Club. Makolanders was the first to score through Dorcas Kizungu before she added another later on. Emy Lasu added the third to put the game out of reach for the home team. Mwanahalima Dogo pulled one back for Olympic. Coach Mike pointed out that his team was on the right path and he will strategies on the next game.

Progress

-We played well. We approached the game positively and it paid off. We scored three goals but we could have scored more goals. We lost a penalty but that I can say it is bad luck, we couldn’t convert it. I can’t say we will use the same strategy, because I tackle each game as it comes, he said.

Makolanders is now placed 5th on the Women Premier League Zone A table standings while Mombasa Olympic is 2nd. This was its second consecutive win.
