Sofapaka new boy to fight for KPL title, learn Swahili

Sofapaka new recruit from Uganda Umar Kasumba has declared his readiness to capture the Kenya Premier League title that Sofapaka last held in 2009.

Speaking to Futaa, the Ugandan striker expressed his exictment to be part of the Sofapaka family and desire to replicate his good run at SC Villa in Uganda. He pointed out that his hard work and good performance was what made his new side sign him. He hinted at taking time to learn Swahili so as to have good understanding with his teammates.

-My ambition is to win the KPL trophy. I have been playing well and working hard that is why they came for me from my previous club. I enjoy being the current team but we have a tiny barrier, Swahili is a hindrance in our communication. I will get to learn the language so that we can communicate with ease, he lamented.

Sofapaka has won its friendly match 1-0 against National Super League side Police on June 14; as it gets ready to face league leaders, Gor Mahia on June 18 at Kinoru Stadium, Meru.
