Vihiga United furnished further proof to their intentions of joining the top flight league next season after emerging as the only victorious side in the NSL week catch up ties played this Wednesday 26 July in the country.

A total of three games went down with Edward Manoah reaping bountifully from the four promotion chasing pack out to continue the hunt for points and promotion.

Vihiga's 2-0 lead against Ushuru was soon accounted back for after Andrew Murunga and Lwamba Bebeto restored the match parity before a late strike from Chris Masinza sealed a dramatic 3-2 victory for the visitors.

With Nairobi Stima failing to extend their advantage at the top after  battling to a draw against City Stars on the weekend, Vihiga result was left to count for much after Wazito FC followed in on by spurning their own advantage going down 1-0  to lowly ranked Police C in an earlier clash at Camp Toyoyo.
