Sserunkuma, Akinyemi's heroics reaps big for Buildcon

Uganda Cranes striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma scored his second goal on his third match as Buildcon ran over Nkwazi FC in a Zambia Super League on Sunday 20 August.

Nkwanzi picked the lead in the opening quarter but Sserunkuma volleyed in the 55th minute to restore parity. Another former KCCA FC player, Sulaimon Akinyemi came off the bench in the 76th and scored just seven minutes into his debut.

Akinyemi met a brilliant cross from another substitute player, Omari to net his debut goal. The Nigerian was fouled in the box on the last minute of the added time. His teammate Richmond Adong stepped up and converted the penalty.

Uganda Cranes defender Isaac Isinde featured for ninety minutes in the game.  The win leaves Buildcon on ninth place with 34 points from 24 games.
