Bandari FC head coach Paul Nkata has blamed unfitness for his side's ouster from the Shield Tournament after going down 1-3 to SoNy Sugar on Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium

SoNy Sugar qualified for the semis after beating a visibly struggling Bandari and in his post match interview, Nkata said his side had barely trained all week. Bandari defense was severally caught napping with Felly Mulumba visibly the unfittest of all after conceding two penalties.

Not ready

-I think we were not ready for the game. We did not train much because of Kenya politics and it affected us today, SoNy played well and they deserved to win.

-We now shift focus to the Kenyan Premier League, our target at the start of the season was a top five finish and we have work hard to achieve that, he told Futaa.com.

SoNy will play Kariobangi Sharks in the first semi final match while AFC Leopards will face off with NSL side in the other semi.
