West Brom close to landing Arsenal defender

According to reports, West Brom are close to signing Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs for £7m.

The England international will be heading to Albion for a medical later today after a move to Watford collapsed over personal terms. The left back will bring his 13-year association with the Gunners to an end after Albion agreed a fee earlier on Tuesday. The 29 year old has not featured for the Gunners this season but ends Tony Pulis' search for a specialist left-back. Gibbs had held talks with Watford, who also agreed a fee, but the salary has been an issue for the Hertfordshire club.

If the move materializes, Gibbs will become Baggies' fifth summer signing following the arrival of Jay Rodriguez, Oliver Burke, Gareth Barry and Ahmed Hegazi.
