Asike: Tusker title defense very possible

Asike: Tusker title defense very possible

Brewers' centre back Eugene Asike is convinced that time is still on their hands in their quest to mount a defense to their KPL title this season.

A floundering start to the league second leg has seen Tusker fall of the pace with defeats to Posta Rangers, Stima and AFC Leopards giving a huge dent to their title ambitions.

Lost points

The situation was later worsened with loss of  three vital points against Zoo following an IDCC decision over a past contested tie.  The implication has seen them drop ranks on the standings but despite the slump Asike is confident things are not just out of hand yet.

-All we need is to approach the game with the aim of winning because that will bring back our momentum. We really need to win to get our mentality back and to boost our confidence for other SPL matches. We need to retain this trophy too. Nothing is impossible, the ex Sofa centre back told the club portal.

The last season double winning team  is currently ranked ninth on the log with a game to play.
