Sofapaka FC vice-captain Maurice Odipo believes the side has the potential to win the 2017 Kenya premier league title.

It has been eight years since Batoto Ba Mungu last won the league. Sam Ssimbwa’s side is currently placed second on the league standings and they are hoping to beat Gor Mahia in the title race.

Hard work

Odipo wants his fellow teammates to keep working hard ahead of the remaining 12 league games to deliver the title.

-At Sofapaka we are like a family and the players have the potential and resolve to win the league crown. It’s is very possible and we need to continue working hard in training to achieve that, he told the club’s official portal.

Odipo is confident that the newly introduced monthly awards will motivate the players towards achieveing their seasonal targets.

-I thank the Sofapaka management for this noble course in conjunction with official sponsors as it will go a long way in getting the best out of the players. This is no doubt the way to go, he added.

Sofapaka FC face Chemelil Sugar on Sunday.
