Gor Mahia wary of congested week as tricky Nzoia come calling

Kenya Premier League leaders Gor Mahia is wary of the congested week ahead as it will play three matches within the same period as they seek to recoup the title they lost last season.

Gor though received  major boost after ten of their players who were away with the national Harambee Stars  during the international duty have come back all in good shape. Nzoia Sugar will be the first assignment for Dylan Kerr charges as they clash on September 9, 2017 at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

-About 10 Gor Mahia players were away with national teams and we thank God almost all of them are in good shape for tomorrow's match. Not an easy tie it will be but the focus will be on getting maxim points to maintain the gap at the top, the club said on its portal.

Fine Run

Gor Mahia have collected 13 wins this season and have suffered three losses in the past 21 league matches. Kerr charges have 44 points and half of those points have been from their home matches. In their back yard Gor Mahia has registered six wins, four draws and just one loss. In those home games the former Champions have netted 13 goals and conceded five.

Next assignment will be Chemelil Sugar at the same venue as is Nzoia on September 14. Thika United will then host them at their turf on September 17.
