Despite going down 4-0 to Gor Mahia on Saturday 9 September at Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Nzoia Sugar head coach Bernard Mwalala has heaped praise on midfielder Edgar Nzano for what he termed as exemplary perfomance against the league leaders

Nzano returned to the starting XI after being in and out of the team with injury and fitness issues. Against Gor Mahia, Mwalala says the player's good show was the only positive thing from the rout.

Impressive Nzano

-I think Nzano stood out against Gor Mahia. Injuries have derailed him for the last one year but against Gor he put in a very good performance and to me he was one of the best players on the pitch. He reminded us what he's capable of and I hope he maintains that level in our forthcoming matches, Mwalala told

Nzano fractured his toe during a Shield Tournament match against Gor Mahia in August 2016 and the injury kept him out for close to eight months.
