12th placed AFC Leopards will seek to avenge the first leg 1-0 loss to SoNy Sugar as they face off this Wednesday 13 September at Green Stadium Kericho.

Leopards has eight wins from the last 17 meetings against SoNy's six league wins. Leopard’s biggest win over SoNy was a 5-1 win in May 2015 while SoNy's biggest win against Leopards is a 2-0 win which they got in 2014. Three matches have ended in draws and last draw in this tie came March 2013 when the two sides played to a goalless draw.

These two sides last faced off in Awendo and SoNy scored late through Justin Omari for a 1-0.

It is now 1440 minutes since Leopards last registered back to back wins in the league. On April 16 and 23 they beat Muhoroni Youth and Thika United for two wins in a row. Robert Matano will be eager to end the inconsistencies and hand Leopards fans the eighth win of the season.

So far the Big Cats have won seven from the last 22 league matches. They have six draws and nine losses. They haven’t done well in home matches this season. Having played 11 matches at home, they have won three, lost five while three matches have ended in draws.  

They have conceded 10 goals in their back yard and have scored just five goals. Leopards have registered one win in the last seven home games.

SoNy Sugar

Salim Babu charges will be full of confidence as they visit Leopards. This is after shocking Kenya Premier League champions Tusker FC in the last league tie. However just like Leopards, registering back to back wins has been hard for the Millers. They have clocked 1800 hours (20 matches) since they last registered back to back wins.

The side has six wins, eight draws and nine losses in the entire campaign. Winning on the road has been a tall order for the Awendo based side. In the last 11 away games, they have registered one win, six draws and four losses. SoNy's lone win on the road came on the first day of the league when they beat Sofapaka 1-0. They have scored five and conceded 10.
