Palos midfield praised after fine run in NSL
Palos FC assistant coach Samwel Tago has revealed the strength that strong midfield contributes to better performance by defense.
Twago has also expressed pride in the squad depth and the willingness of every player to contribute. Goalkeeper trainer Said Owade concurred with Twago and added that goalkeeping department has grown courtesy of avoiding simple mistakes.
-The midfield is largely stable and they always contribute largely to our defense line play, we have a good squad depth and everyone can play that’s our major advantage, Twago told the club website.
-My department is quite sensitive any mistake committed on the field of play is directly reflected on the score sheet and at some point the goal keeper are blamed for the goals that could have been avoided and therefore we always work extra hard in training to avoid silly mistake and sometime cover for the mistake done by our players and defense line, Owade said.
Palos managed to see off Agrochemicals in the Lakeside derby 2-o. The National Super League side has managed 12 clean sheets so far and is pegged sixth with 36 points.
