Klopp squad arrives for Champions League game against Sevilla
Manager Jurgen Klopp and his players arrived at the stadium at midday as they count down the hours to their opening Group E fixture against the team that beat them in the 2016 Europa League final.
Liverpool return to the Champions League for the first time since 2014 on Wednesday evening as they take on Spanish side Sevilla at Anfield. The Reds are desperate to get their fortunes back on track after Saturday's 5-0 mauling in the hands of Manchester City, a result that sullied an otherwise encouraging start to the campaign.
Liverpool will be hoping for better fortunes than their last Champions League campaign in 2014-15, when they finished third in a group that contained Real Madrid, Basel and Ludogorets Razgrad.
They shouldn't have too many problems this time in a group containing Sevilla, Spartak Moscow and Maribor. However, Klopp is well aware of the threat posed by Sevilla, currently third in La Liga following an unbeaten first three matches, after the 2016 Basel final, which they won 3-1.
